Hi All,

Could you please send a reminder to your members to contact BPS for their seed cane orders as we are approaching the time that we usually close the plot around the middle to end of September.

Kristine has informed me that we still have orders of about 400 ton to be collected.  It will be good to have all the seed cane collected and the commercial cane cut so we can focus on growing next years crop.

I have spoken to Vernon Viero the harvesting contractor and he has said he will harvest the remaining cane to be sent to the mill once all of our seed cane has been collected.

I inspected the Mother Plot yesterday, the plants are starting to germinate and the new variety SRA34 is marking the drills nicely.
