Wet Weather Update -John Tait / Wilmar

Good morning all,

Widespread rain across the district of between 40mm – 150mm has stopped all harvesting in the Burdekin. There is no burnt cane in the Inkerman, Pioneer and Kalamia areas however there is still 400 bins of burnt cane in the Invicta area, 260 of which is with one farmer. Best guesses at the moment have the restart as mid to late next week with fine weather. Logistics staff will continue to consult with growers and contractors throughout the week.

Kind regards,

John Tait
